The Dymax BlueWave® 200 V3.0 is a high-intensity UV light-curing spot lamp system, expertly engineered for small-area curing of adhesives, coatings, and potting materials. With an emission of up to an 8-mm diameter spot of UV light, the BlueWave 200 provides precise control for various applications.

Key Features:

• Versatility: Utilizing a liquid lightguide (sold separately), the system allows for either hand-held operation for complete mobility or can be clamped into position on assembly equipment or workstations for repetitive tasks.
• Sophisticated Design: Enclosed in an anodized aluminum housing, the system integrates an electronic power supply, circuit protection, bulb/reflector assembly, and an internal light filter for extended lightguide life. The addition of an LCD display enhances user interaction and control.
• Multiple Operating Modes: The shutter can be managed through PLC Mode with externally supplied signals, Manual Mode with a foot pedal or button press, or Timer Mode with a built-in timer triggered by a foot pedal or button, allowing for flexible operation.
• Optimized Power Supply: Operating on line voltages between 100 and 240 VAC, and frequencies between 50 and 60 Hz, the auto-ranging power supply ensures appropriate voltage and current to the 200-Watt lamp.
• Cooling System: A thermostatically controlled cooling fan with a control loop keeps the lamp housing and internal components at the optimum operating temperature. It’s essential to provide at least 12" (305 mm) of clearance behind the system for proper ventilation.
• High-Intensity UV Source: The system utilizes a 200-Watt, medium-pressure arc metal-halide bulb, focused for optimal light output, and is rated for continuous operation.
• Intensity Control Feature: Acknowledging that UV bulbs degrade with use, the system allows users to manually increase intensity to offset this degradation, thus maintaining consistent performance.
• Safety Measures: Along with a thermal shutdown sensor, a cover switch, and a lightguide status switch, the BlueWave 200 ensures safe operation, with specific warnings appearing on the LCD display if any issues arise.
• PLC Mode: When operating in PLC Mode, the LCD display conveniently shows the state of the signals controlling the system, aiding in setup and verification of correct operation.
